Flooded Basement due to Broken Sprinkler Head

Sprinkler head floods basement.

There are times when sprinkler heads do not go into the ground after they have watered the lawn. When they stick out they often get hit by weed whackers or lawn mowers.

That is exactly what happened to this home in Draper, UT. The sprinkler started and all the water pressure entered the window well and into the bedroom. The flood water was very brown with all the dirt and grime that collected in the window.

Needless to say we tore out the contaminated drywall and carpet. Because of the contamination we also added a HEPA Air Filtration Device to clean the air in the room.
